Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality carpentry work on residential and commercial projects, ensuring that all structures are built to exact specifications and safety standards. Your expertise will help bring construction plans to life, from framing and drywall installation to finishing touches like trim and fixture installation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, develop your craft, and contribute to building spaces that make a difference. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute project requirements. Construct, install, repair, and remodel structures using hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines. Perform framing carpentry for walls, floors, ceilings, and other structural elements in residential or commercial settings. Install drywall, stucco, siding, doors, windows, flooring, and fixtures with precision and attention to detail. Ensure power tool safety protocols are followed at all times during construction activities. Assist with remodeling projects by assembling components, installing trim or molding, and performing finishing work such as sanding and painting prep. Qualifications Proven experience as a Journeyman Carpenter with a strong background in construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools for woodworking, woodworking machines, and construction site safety standards. Knowledge of wood construction materials including framing lumber, siding materials, drywall components, and finishing products. Experience in residential carpentry with skills in door hanging, fixture installation, flooring installation, and remodeling projects. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship. Familiarity with rebar installation, stucco application, plastering techniques, caulking methods, mold remediation processes, and restoration industry practices is preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately. Valid relevant certifications or licenses related to carpentry or construction safety are advantageous but not mandatory. Pay:
