Carpenter Job Description We are seeking an experienced carpenter with expertise in steel framing for both residential and commercial construction. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and possess a strong understanding of construction math and building codes. Responsibilities Perform steel framing for walls, floors, roofs, and structural elements according to project plans and specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction documents. Ensure work meets quality standards, building codes, and safety requirements. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to maintain an efficient and safe job site. Accurately measure, cut, and assemble framing materials. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Essential Skills 2+ years of framing carpentry experience preferred. Strong understanding of framing techniques, construction math, and building codes. Ability to work safely at heights and with power tools. Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship. Reliable transportation to and from job sites. Additional Skills & Qualifications Willing and able to travel for warranty work (company covers expenses). Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Required attire includes steel toe boots, jeans, and a long sleeve shirt. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Monterey Park, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
