Job Description

PURPOSE:
The purpose of this position is responsible for the entire crew of a skilled tradesperson(s) who constructs the wooden framing of a residential home, including walls, floors and roof, including employee supervision. Responsible for measurement, cutting, assembly and erection of materials and components. Utilize various tools including nail guns, circular saws, drills, etc. Experience with anchor, align, plumb, level, brace, nail and tie together erected components. Work at elevations and standing within stabilized trusses on top of walls to install truss components. Adhere to and follow all applicable OSHA and Erickson Companies safety standards and requirements. Assisting in identifying and correcting hazardous situations and acts by fellow employees and notifying supervisory personnel Enforce and ensure safety standards and safe work practices Conduct a daily jobsite hazard analysis
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Operating and maintaining company vehicles, forklifts and equipment High degree of specific and general knowledge pertaining to home building and residential construction Maintaining accurate time keeping for employees Adhering to Erickson's quality control standards Time and material management during construction process Assisting Safety Department and Superintendents in the accident investigation process, determining root cause and corrective actions Eliminating or minimizing jobsite hazards Maintaining clear and precise communication with Superintendents, Safety Department and Management
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Involves a combination of formal training, on-the-job learning and practical skills. Understanding and use of various hand and power tools. Knowledge of wood and construction materials Must provide original, valid, and unexpired document(s) that satisfy the Form I-9 employment Must pass a drug screen
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Ability to work at heights (6-30' +) Adherence to safety regulations Lifting up to 100 lbs
