To learn more about us, visit www.interiordoor.com. The Role We're looking for someone with a positive attitude and a background in carpentry or woodworking to join our team in a hybrid role. Your primary focus will be operating our CNC machine to prepare doors for installation, and you'll also fill in as an installer in customers' homes as needed. No prior CNC experience is required. We'll provide hands-on training on the machine when you start, then cross-train you on installations. This role suits someone who is organized, takes pride in precise, high-quality work, and enjoys working with homeowners. When you're in the field, you'll represent our company, so you must present yourself to customers in a professional manner. Responsibilities Operate and maintain the CNC machine to cut, bore, and prep doors to specification Read work orders and measurements accurately and set up jobs correctly Inspect finished pieces for accuracy and quality before they leave the shop Keep the shop area clean, organized, and safe Fill in as an installer on customer jobs, removing old doors and installing new ones Communicate courteously with homeowners and help ensure a positive experience Requirements At least 1 year of experience in woodworking or carpentry Strong skills with trade hand and power tools Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn CNC operation Strong attention to detail, with the ability to take accurate measurements and monitor your own work for quality Ability to problem-solve and find creative solutions on installations Good time management and the ability to plan and prioritize work Commitment to following safety procedures in the shop and in clients' homes Ability to lift heavy doors (40+ lbs) Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Nice to Have Prior CNC, shop, or machine operation experience Experience installing doors, trim, or finish carpentry Schedule Full-time, year-round. Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm.
