Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality carpentry work across various residential projects, ensuring that all structures meet safety standards, technical specifications, and client expectations. As a vital member of our crew, you will bring craftsmanship, precision, and efficiency to every task, contributing to the successful completion of diverse building and restoration projects. Duties Interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute carpentry tasks. Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and other building materials using hand tools and power tools for woodworking. Perform framing, siding, door hanging, cabinet installation, and trim carpentry with precision and attention to detail. Operate woodworking machines safely and efficiently while adhering to power tool safety protocols. Complete heavy lifting tasks as needed. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and construction site protocols while maintaining a clean work environment. Requirements Proven construction experience with a strong background in carpentry and woodworking techniques. Ability to read blueprints, construction plans, and technical drawings accurately. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools for woodworking, wood construction materials, and woodworking machines. Experience with residential carpentry including framing, siding, fixture installation, and door hanging. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to interpret technical specifications. Familiarity with power tool safety practices and proper handling of power tools for woodworking. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or in confined spaces as required on construction sites.
