Concrete Crew — Foreman, Carpenters, Finishers, Rodbusters & Laborers EDGE Contracting, Inc. | Golden, Colorado Projects throughout the Denver Metro Area and Front Range | Full-time EDGE Contracting is hiring an experienced concrete crew for flatwork and structural concrete projects. We welcome established crews who want to join EDGE together, as well as individual applicants for the positions below. EDGE is a heavy civil contractor specializing in underground utilities, drainage and flood control improvements, site development, excavation, and infrastructure construction. Our concrete work includes cast-in-place structures and site flatwork. We're looking for people who take pride in accurate layout, well-built forms, organized pours, and a quality finished product. Positions and Skills Concrete Foreman / Crew Lead Lead the crew's daily work and coordinate with EDGE supervisors, inspectors, and other trades. Read plans and details; lay out work and verify dimensions, elevations, grades, and slopes. Plan manpower, materials, equipment, formwork, reinforcement, and pour sequence. Check forms, embeds, reinforcing steel, access, and site readiness before each pour. Direct placement, consolidation, finishing, curing, and form removal. Track production, communicate field issues promptly, and maintain a safe, organized jobsite. Concrete Carpenters / Form Setters Lay out, build, brace, and strip forms for walls, footings, slabs, pads, drainage structures, and other cast-in-place work. Set forms to the required line, grade, elevation, and dimensions. Work from plans and details to place blockouts, embeds, and openings accurately. Check form alignment, stability, and cleanliness before concrete placement. Concrete Finishers Place, screed, float, edge, joint, and finish slabs and site concrete. Produce the specified finish, including broom and smooth finishes. Maintain required slopes, drainage, elevations, and joint locations. Operate hand and power finishing tools and adjust finishing work to concrete and weather conditions. Rod Busters / Reinforcing Steel Installers Read reinforcing details and place rebar and welded wire reinforcement as specified. Cut, tie, support, and secure reinforcement while maintaining required spacing and concrete cover. Coordinate reinforcing work with formwork, embeds, and pour schedules. Concrete Laborers Prepare work areas, subgrade, tools, and materials for forming and pours. Assist with formwork, reinforcement, concrete placement, consolidation, curing, and cleanup. Work safely around equipment and follow direction from the foreman. Experience with civil concrete work such as sidewalks, curb and gutter, pads, inlet toppings, trickle channels, drainage structures, walls, and outlet structures is valuable. General Requirements Relevant hands-on experience for the position you're applying for; foreman candidates must have experience leading concrete work and crews. Ability to work outdoors and perform the physical duties of concrete construction. Dependable attendance and reliable transportation to jobsites. Commitment to EDGE's safety practices and quality standards. Ability to work early starts, overtime, or occasional weekends when project schedules and pours require them. Legal authorization to work in the United States and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
