Job Overview:
must be willing to travel We are seeking skilled Concrete Carpenter/Finisher to join our heavy civil construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in concrete formwork, placement, and finishing, contributing to the successful completion of infrastructure projects such as bridges, roads, and foundations. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Formwork Installation:
Construct, erect, and dismantle wooden and metal forms for concrete placement, ensuring accuracy and alignment according to project specifications.
Concrete Placement:
Assist in pouring and spreading concrete, using hand tools and equipment to ensure even distribution and proper compaction.
Finishing:
Apply finishing techniques to concrete surfaces, including troweling, edging, and brooming, to achieve the desired surface texture and appearance.
Quality Control:
Inspect finished concrete for quality and compliance with specifications, making adjustments as necessary to meet project standards.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations on-site, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of materials.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other trades and team members to ensure smooth workflow and coordination on the job site.
Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tools and equipment, ensuring all are in safe working condition.
Documentation:
Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered during the project.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in concrete carpentry and finishing, preferably in heavy civil construction.
Skills:
Proficient in using hand and power tools related to concrete work, including saws, trowels, and vibrators.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with concrete mix designs, curing techniques, and finishing processes.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions. Attention to

Strong focus on quality and accuracy in all aspects of work.
Team Player:
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
