Taking ownership of Rusin's "Core Values." Working with a team! Complying with safety standards and aware of all surroundings. Set the forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth and align them. Check the forms that hold the concrete to see that they are properly constructed. Spread, level, and smooth concrete using rake, shovel, hand/power trowel, hand/power screed and float. Monitor how the wind, heat, or cold affect the curing of the concrete throughout the entire process. Produce rough concrete surface using a broom. Mold expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointers and straightedge. Clean chipped area, using wire brush and feel and observe surface to determine if it is rough or uneven. Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surface of concrete and waterproof or restore surface. One year of concrete experience. Minimum one (1) year general construction experience is preferred. Must be able to tie rebar/steel, build concrete forms and mix/pour/finish concrete. Ability to use all types of hand tools. Ability to create effective working relationships with employees and the general public.WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
May be expected to travel out of town to work on projects. May usually work irregular hours and often work early mornings, weekends, shift work and possibly be on call. Generally, work longer hours in summer. Work in all weather conditions such as noisy, wet, cold, hot, dirty, windy and dusty environments.WHAT OUR ORGANIZATION IS PROVIDING
Hourly Range:
