Looking for a hands-on project where you can put your carpentry skills to work? We're hiring a Carpentry Shop Assistant to help create large-scale custom holiday displays in a busy carpentry and welding shop. This is a temporary project expected to last approximately one month, with the possibility of extending longer. If you enjoy working with wood, power tools, and building things with your hands, we'd love to hear from you!
What You'll Be Doing:
Assist with carpentry and assembly of custom display components Perform sanding, surface preparation, and finishing work Safely operate tools such as miter saws, chop saws, and other hand/power tools Measure, prepare, and work with wood and other materials Assist experienced carpentry and weld shop team members with projects Move materials and help keep the shop clean and organized Help ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality expectations Potentially assist with on-site assembly and installation if the project extends into the installation phase
What We're Looking For:
Recent carpentry or woodworking experience strongly preferred Comfortable using hand and power tools Experience with saws, sanding, measuring, cutting, assembly, or similar hands-on work Able to perform repetitive physical tasks and remain active throughout the shift Able to lift 50+ lbs. Dependable with strong attendance and punctuality Comfortable working in a carpentry/welding shop environment with dust and noise Team player who can take direction and jump in where needed Valid driver's license preferred Ability to drive a 26' box truck is a plus
Schedule & Pay:
Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM Possible overtime on Fridays $23
  • 24/hour
Project Length:
Approximately 1 month, with the possibility of additional work This isn't your typical shop project!
