Job Summary We are seeking a motivated, entry-level carpenter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining structures and fixtures with precision and craftsmanship. You will contribute to a wide range of residential projects, from simple repairs to complex remodels and new construction builds. Quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards are core to our business. This position offers an exciting opportunity to learn and develop your carpentry skills on diverse projects. Everyone reports to our shop ready to work at 8am. We have a normal work week of Monday to Friday 8am - 4:30pm. We take a paid morning coffee break and a 30 minute unpaid lunch. We start on time every day and generally return to the shop before 4:30.

Responsibilities Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood, metal, drywall, siding, framing, trim, and other building materials using hand tools and power tools. Assist with framing structures, ensuring stability and compliance as directed by the site manager - including carrying and staging of materials. Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, finishing, and related masonry tasks to support foundational work - including digging and cleanout prior to pour. Operate company van or pickup truck as needed for site preparation or material handling while maintaining safety protocols. Follow all directions given by project managers, the owner, and the office manager to coordinate tasks efficiently. Ensure all work adheres to safety standards, building codes, and project timelines. Requirements Experience in construction or carpentry with an entry-level understanding of building techniques and materials. Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., saws, hammers), power tools (e.g., drills, saws), and heavier equipment when necessary. Knowledge of stud framing, drywall, insulation, siding, and general repair & maintenance is highly desirable. Ability to perform dimensional measurements accurately using tape measures and other measuring devices. Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements and material quantities. Physical stamina for heavy lifting, working at heights, bending, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret technical instructions clearly. Valid construction site experience with a focus on safety practices; certifications such as OSHA are a plus but not mandatory.
