This dynamic role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial construction projects, including new builds, renovations, and remodeling. As a Commercial Carpenter, you will be responsible for interpreting construction plans, utilizing hand and power tools, and ensuring high-quality craftsmanship on every project. Your expertise will contribute to the timely completion of projects while maintaining safety and efficiency standards. This position is ideal for someone with solid construction experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to take on new challenges. Duties Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to accurately execute carpentry tasks. Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and other construction materials using hand tools and power tools for woodworking. Perform framing, drywall installation, door hanging, trim carpentry, flooring installation, tile laying, and stucco application. Operate woodworking machines safely to produce precise components for residential or commercial projects. Install fixtures such as cabinets, counters, moldings, rebar in concrete forms, and other building elements according to specifications. Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to power tool safety protocols; handle rebar installation and plastering as needed. Assist with remodeling projects by performing tasks like caulking, mold remediation, metal stud framing, flooring upgrades, and fixture installation. Requirements Proven experience in commercial or residential carpentry with a strong understanding of construction estimating and site procedures. Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings for precise execution of tasks. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools for woodworking, woodworking machines, and other carpentry equipment. Knowledge of construction site safety practices related to power tools and heavy lifting activities. Experience with framing (including metal stud framing), drywall installation, door hanging, trim carpentry, flooring installation, tile laying, stucco work, and rebar installation. Familiarity with construction materials such as wood construction materials and other building supplies used in commercial projects. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights or in confined spaces; ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret construction plans accurately. Handyman experience or additional skills such as plastering or mold remediation are a plus.
