This dynamic role offers an exciting opportunity to foster early childhood development, promote physical activity, and cultivate a love for wellness in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. As a key member of our team, you will bring energy, creativity, and expertise to help children build strength, flexibility, and confidence while nurturing their emotional well-being. Seeking a go getter with existing clientele and or the willingness to develop a following and take over ownership of this part of the business. Duties Lead lively and age-appropriate yoga classes for babies, toddlers, and young children, incorporating playful poses and storytelling elements to keep sessions engaging. Design and implement safe, effective program routines that promote physical development, body awareness, and relaxation techniques suitable for various age groups. Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and guide children through routines while ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Communicate clearly with parents and caregivers about class goals, progress, and ways to reinforce wellness practices at home. Maintain a clean, organized space equipped with child-friendly yoga mats and props; ensure all equipment is safe and sanitized regularly. Monitor children during classes for signs of fatigue or discomfort; adapt activities as needed to accommodate individual needs. Stay updated on the latest trends in children's fitness, yoga instruction, anatomy knowledge related to young bodies, and health & safety standards including CPR and First Aid certifications. Qualifications Proven experience in teaching group fitness classes with children or in a similar role within the fitness or health industry. Certification in Yoga instruction with specialization or experience in teaching kids' yoga; additional certifications such as Pilates instruction or dance are advantageous. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, body mechanics, and health & safety standards relevant to young children's physical development. Demonstrated ability to motivate children through energetic coaching styles while maintaining a nurturing approach. Strong communication skills for engaging with children and parents alike; excellent customer service skills are essential. Physical fitness training background including skills in manual handling, heavy lifting (if necessary), cycling or other fitness modalities is a plus. Ability to create fun yet structured exercise routines that promote physical activity while ensuring safety at all times. Current CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid certifications; AED operation knowledge preferred. Social media / self promotion/ business building savvy very important. Must be go getter with initiative to build business.
Pay:
$30.00 - $70.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 2.0 per week
