Job Description

Remodeling Carpenter / Level 2 Technician TC Carpentry is looking for an experienced, dependable carpenter/remodeling technician to join our growing team. This is not an entry-level helper position , but you also do not need to be a foreman or lead carpenter. We're looking for someone in the middle — a person who has solid construction experience, understands how remodeling work comes together, and can be given a task and trusted to get it done correctly. What You'll Work On Our projects vary, so we're looking for someone with experience in several areas of residential construction, including: Residential remodeling and renovations Deck construction and repairs Framing Drywall installation and finishing Interior and exterior trim Doors and windows Flooring Cabinet and fixture installation Demolition and prep work General carpentry and repair work Punch-list and finish work You do not need to be an expert in every one of these areas. We care more about having a strong construction foundation, being comfortable working with tools, and being willing to learn the things you haven't done before. What We're Looking For The right person should: Have solid hands-on experience in carpentry, remodeling, or residential construction Be able to complete common tasks without constant supervision Understand measurements, layouts, materials, and basic construction practices Know how to safely and properly use common power and hand tools Be able to work as part of a crew and take direction from a lead Care about the quality of the finished product Show up consistently and communicate when something comes up Be willing to learn new skills and take on more responsibility over time Keep a professional attitude around customers and their homes This Position Is a Good Fit If… You've been working in construction long enough that you're past the helper stage , but you're not necessarily looking to run an entire crew or manage jobs. Maybe you're a good carpenter who wants steady work without having to chase your own jobs. Maybe you know remodeling but still have areas you want to improve. Or maybe you eventually want to become a lead and need a company where you can keep developing. That's exactly the type of person we're looking for. Why Work With TC Carpentry? We're building a company where good employees have somewhere to go. We want people who take pride in their work, enjoy construction, and want to be part of a team that is growing. If you prove yourself, learn, and take on more responsibility, there will be opportunities to move up. We don't expect you to know everything on day one. We do expect you to work hard, be dependable, ask questions when you don't know something, and care about doing things the right way. You'll get variety in your work, opportunities to develop additional skills, and a crew that wants to get the job done without making every day miserable.
