Seeking a seasoned carpenter for a temporary deck-building project at a remote island location in the Florida Keys.

Position Details Pay:

$40-$48 per hour , based on experience

Duration:

Approximately 2-3 weeks- OT hours expected.

Schedule:

Extended workdays may be required due to the remote location Transportation to the project site and housing will be provided. $700 food allowance will be provided. Availability to start ASAP. Responsibilities Construct a deck according to project drawings and specifications Perform accurate layout, measuring, cutting, framing, and fastening Maintain professional workmanship and meet project quality requirements Work safely and efficiently in a remote, outdoor environment Coordinate with the site superintendent and other crew members Qualifications Extensive carpentry and deck building experience Ability to read construction drawings and independently complete assigned work Experience working with treated lumber or exterior decking systems Must have reliable transportation to the designated departure point Must be physically capable of lifting materials and working outdoors in hot, humid conditions Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to remain at the remote project location for the assigned rotation Federal construction experience is helpful but not required
