Job Overview Wilson Expo is looking for an experienced Trade Show Carpenter to join our growing production team. We design, fabricate, and install custom trade show exhibits for clients throughout the United States. The ideal candidate has strong finish-carpentry skills, works well in a fast-paced shop environment, and is comfortable traveling for trade show installations when needed. Responsibilities Build custom trade show exhibits, counters, cabinets, walls, kiosks, and other display components Read and work from production drawings and measurements Cut, assemble, laminate, and finish custom woodwork Prepare exhibits for pre-builds, packing, shipping, and installation Install and dismantle exhibits at convention centers and event venues Safely operate standard woodworking and shop equipment Maintain high-quality workmanship while meeting production deadlines Work closely with project managers, designers, CNC operators, and other carpenters Keep the shop and work areas clean, organized, and safe Qualifications Carpentry, cabinetmaking, millwork, exhibit, or scenic-production experience Experience working with plywood, MDF, laminates, and similar materials Ability to read production drawings and accurately use a tape measure Comfortable using table saws, routers, drills, sanders, and other shop tools Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to lift and move materials and exhibit components Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license Availability to work occasional overtime, weekends, and travel for trade shows Trade show or exhibit-industry experience is preferred but not required Compensation and Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience Overtime and travel opportunities Consistent work with opportunities for growth Hands-on involvement in unique custom projects
Pay:
$20.00 - $27.50 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 - 40.0 per week
