Job Overview We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Form Carpenters to join our client's construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and dismantling formwork for concrete structures on various construction projects. The firm mainly works on luxury residential homes. Your expertise will ensure the precise shaping of concrete elements, contributing to the safety and quality of our builds. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from renovations to large-scale developments, while adhering to strict safety protocols and industry standards. Responsibilities Read and interpret structural plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately construct formwork according to specifications and to work to a layout. Build and assemble formwork using hand tools and power tools, ensuring stability and precision for concrete pouring. Set edge forms, bulkheads, blockouts, and embeds. Install and strip shoring and reshoring per the shoring plan. Install rebar reinforcement within formwork to strengthen concrete structures as per engineering requirements. Operate concrete mixers, pumps, and cutting tools safely and efficiently during form construction and concrete pouring processes. Collaborate with masons, carpenters, and other trades to coordinate work sequences on construction sites. Follow all safety regulations related to construction workplace safety standards, heavy lifting, heavy equipment operation, and material handling. Perform inspections of formwork before concrete pouring to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety measures. Qualifications Proven experience working on construction projects as a Form Carpenter or in related roles involving concrete forming and carpentry. Strong mechanical knowledge of hand tools, power tools, rebar installation, and formwork construction techniques. Ability to read blueprints, construction plans, and technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of concrete pouring, finishing, cutting, plastering, and masonry work is highly desirable. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and interpreting blueprint specifications. Understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, work at heights, operate heavy equipment safely, and stand for extended periods. Construction site experience with a focus on renovation projects or new builds is preferred. Must bring own hand tools to site.
