Carpenter:
Starting at $20.00 hour Duties and Respon sibilities Build and repair over-water and shoreline structures including seawalls, bulkheads, docks, piers, boat lifts, and pile-supported platforms. Perform layout from plans, including reading elevations and benchmarks. Set timber, steel, and composite piles (vertical and batter) and install pile caps. Frame stringers and decking systems. Build and strip formwork for caps and grade beams. Tie rebar and place/finish concrete, including marine grouts. Install marine hardware including cleats, thru-rods, pile wraps, fender systems, and ladders. Install helical/tie-back systems and FRP/composite components. Perform safe rigging and signaling for lifting operations. Operate small equipment including skid steers, telehandlers, augers, impact hammers, and standard carpentry tools. Work from barges, scaffolds, and lifts in a tidal environment. Maintain housekeeping and organized work areas. Participate in Job Safety Assessments (JSAs). Follow OSHA, USCG, and Company safety procedures, including fall protection and working-over-water requirements. Qualifications 1-2+ years of heavy/marine carpentry or formwork experience (seawalls, docks, or boat lift work preferred). Proficient with form building, rebar installation, pile/cap framing, and blueprint reading. Skilled with lasers, levels, and measuring tapes. Comfortable working over water and in variable weather and tidal conditions. Valid Florida driver's license required. OSHA-10/30, NCCER, forklift/telehandler certifications, TWIC, and small-boat handling experience are a plus. Frequently lift and carry up to 75 lbs (1/3 to 2/3 of the workday). Work overwater daily from docks, barges, scaffolds, and aerial lifts. Tolerate exposure to noise, vibration, and outdoor environmental conditions. Able to work overtime and weekends as needed. Strong safety mindset, teamwork, and communication skills are essential. Employer is open to considering qualified second chance applicants.
