This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from commercial buildings to outdoor hardscapes, utilizing your expertise in formwork, finishing, and concrete installation. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, schematics, and blueprint specifications to accurately execute concrete projects. Construct formwork using carpentry skills, including frame carpentry and metal stud framing, ensuring proper measurements and stability for concrete pouring. Prepare and set up rebar installation to reinforce concrete structures according to engineering standards and schematics. Operate power tools, hand tools, heavy equipment, and concrete pumps safely and efficiently during formwork construction and concrete pouring processes. Mix, pour, level, and finish concrete surfaces with precision, including techniques such as troweling, caulking, plastering, stucco application, and tile laying for both commercial and restoration projects. Cut and shape concrete using specialized tools for precise fitting; perform concrete cutting tasks as needed for renovation or new construction. Maintain strict adherence to construction workplace safety regulations by following safety protocols during all phases of work; ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with heavy lifting and material handling to ensure efficient workflow on busy construction sites; operate heavy machinery when required. Collaborate with team members to interpret technical drawings accurately and execute projects according to specifications while maintaining quality standards. Requirements Proven experience in construction environments with a focus on concrete work; familiarity with working on diverse projects such as commercial buildings, renovations, or hardscape installations. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems related to construction tools and equipment operation. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans effectively. Skilled in concrete forming techniques including formwork construction and metal stud framing. Experience with rebar installation, concrete pouring, finishing techniques like troweling and stucco application. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation (such as cranes or mixers), and concrete pumping systems. Knowledge of construction estimating processes is a plus for understanding project scopes and materials requirements. Understanding of construction workplace safety regulations; committed to maintaining a safe work environment at all times. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently; comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
