Medical, Dental, Vision, and additional benefits available beginning Day 1 Position Summary The Carpenter is responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of structures and fixtures throughout the property. This position requires experience in residential and light commercial construction, carpentry, maintenance, and repair work. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while maintaining high-quality workmanship. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform residential and light commercial construction projects. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Construct, install, repair, and maintain cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, trim, decks, walkways, and other structures. Remove and replace damaged or defective building materials and structural components. Inspect ceilings, flooring, walls, siding, glass, and woodwork to identify repair needs. Install foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofing systems using wood, steel, concrete, plastics, composites, and other materials. Install, finish, and repair drywall/sheetrock. Perform roof repairs and shingle installation. Complete interior and exterior painting and staining projects. Perform minor plumbing and electrical repairs as assigned. Perform welding and fabrication work as assigned. Install and repair fencing. Create, install, and repair property signage. Assist with storm preparation and recovery, including debris removal, tree trimming, and property cleanup. Build scaffolding and safely utilize ladders and lifts when working at heights. Install insulation and related building materials. Operate heavy equipment as needed to perform job duties. Assist Support Services and Maintenance teams with special projects and operational needs. Follow established safety procedures and maintain a safe, clean work environment. Qualifications Required Experience Candidates must possess one of the following: Minimum of four (4) years of experience in all phases of residential construction and carpentry; OR Two (2) years of residential construction experience combined with two (2) years of commercial construction experience; OR Two (2) years of fencing installation experience combined with two (2) years of general construction experience. Preferred Qualifications Technical, vocational, or trade school education in carpentry or construction. Carpentry certifications or certificates of competency. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficiency using woodworking and shop equipment, including table saws, miter saws, drill presses, sanders, routers, grinders, and related tools. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities. Strong verbal communication skills and ability to follow instructions. Commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Ability to read and understand labels, safety warnings, and operating instructions. Strong attention to detail and situational awareness. Basic computer proficiency. Dependable, trustworthy, and professional in appearance and conduct. Willingness to learn new skills and support multiple departments as needed. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Valid Florida or Georgia driver's license required. Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme temperatures. Ability to work around noise, dust, hazardous materials, and construction equipment. Ability to safely work from ladders, scaffolding, and man lifts. May be required to work evenings, weekends, holidays, or extended hours based on business needs. Flexibility to respond to emergency maintenance and storm recovery situations. Why Join Us?
