Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Custom Woodshop Joiner to fabricate, fit, and assemble custom cabinetry and furniture components. This role is hands-on and detail-driven, requiring the ability to work from drawings while also thinking critically through custom solutions and build techniques. Responsibilities Build and assemble custom cabinets and furniture from raw materials Execute precise joinery including mortise & tenon, dados, rabbets, dowels, and pocket joinery Read and interpret custom shop drawings and cut lists Mill lumber and sheet goods to exact specifications Dry-fit and final-assemble components to ensure accuracy and quality Operate woodworking machinery (table saw, jointer, planer, router table, sanders, etc.) Maintain high standards for craftsmanship, fit, and finish Follow shop safety procedures and keep an organized workspace Qualifications 3+ years of experience in custom cabinetry or furniture making Strong understanding of joinery, materials, and wood movement Ability to work independently and problem-solve custom details Excellent measuring, layout, and shop math skills High attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Preferred (Not Required) Experience with high-end or architectural cabinetry Familiarity with veneers, edge banding, or curved components CNC or CAD/CAM exposure Mentoring or leadership experience What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience and skill level Consistent full-time work Professional, well-equipped shop Opportunity to work on unique, custom projects Growth potential within a skilled craftsmanship team
