Reports To:

Owner / Project Manager Position Summary The Skilled Carpenter is responsible for executing residential construction and remodeling projects with a high level of craftsmanship, efficiency, and independence. This role supports project completion through framing to finish work carpentry and contributes directly to jobsite productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction. Core Responsibilities Construction Execution Perform framing, and finish carpentry work Install trim, doors, cabinets, and interior finishes Interpret blueprints, sketches, and verbal scope instructions Complete assigned scopes without constant supervision Jobsite Productivity Maintain efficient workflow and meet daily production targets Plan work sequence to minimize downtime and rework Identify and communicate material or scope issues early Quality Control Deliver clean, professional-grade finish work Self-inspect work to reduce punch list items Maintain consistency with company standards Jobsite Management (as applicable) Assist in directing laborers or apprentices Coordinate with subcontractors when needed Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites Required Skills & Experience 5+ years residential construction experience Strong working knowledge of framing and finish carpentry Ability to read and interpret construction drawings Proficient with hand tools and power tools Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Preferred (High-Value) Skills Finish carpentry (trim, cabinetry, detail work) Ability to run small jobs independently Basic customer communication skills Light project leadership experience Performance Expectations Consistent attendance and reliability Minimal supervision required Low rework / high first-pass quality Meets or exceeds daily/weekly production targets
