Job Description
Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Skilled Laborer/Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse residential and commercial projects, utilizing a wide range of carpentry, woodworking, and construction skills. The ideal candidate will be passionate about craftsmanship, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute to high-quality building and restoration efforts. Duties Interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications Measure, cut, assemble, and install various wood and metal components using hand tools and power tools for woodworking and metal stud framing Perform residential carpentry tasks including door hanging, fixture installation, cabinetry, siding, trim carpentry, and flooring installation Operate woodworking machines safely for precise fabrication of custom wood pieces and structural components Assist with concrete forming, masonry work, rebar installation, plastering, stucco application, roofing, and water damage restoration projects Conduct restoration activities such as mold remediation, water damage repair, and general site cleanup to ensure safety and quality standards are met Safely handle heavy lifting tasks while adhering to power tool safety protocols; utilize scaffolding and ladders as needed for elevated work Support remodeling projects by installing doors, windows, fixtures, cabinetry, siding, and performing electrical or plumbing tasks when required Follow construction plans meticulously while maintaining a clean and organized worksite; communicate effectively with team members to meet project deadlines Requirements Proven experience in construction or carpentry with a strong understanding of residential building practices Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings Skilled in the use of hand tools (hammers, saws, chisels) and power tools for woodworking (drills, saws) as well as metal stud framing equipment Knowledge of wood construction materials including framing lumber, plywood, trim boards, siding materials; experience with woodworking machines preferred Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; physically fit to handle demanding tasks throughout the workday Familiarity with construction estimating processes and working from detailed construction plans or schematics Experience with various trades such as masonry, roofing, electrical wiring or plumbing is a plus but not mandatory Commitment to safety protocols including power tool safety standards; ability to interpret technical drawings accurately Strong communication skills; dependable team player who takes pride in craftsmanship Join us in building quality structures while advancing your skills in a vibrant environment that values safety, craftsmanship, and professional growth!
