Commercial Carpenter Job Description We are seeking a skilled Commercial Carpenter to perform basic framing and installation of doors, frames, hardware, and casework. Experience in both wood and metal stud framing is highly valued. Candidates with 1-3 years of experience in commercial construction are preferred. Responsibilities Perform basic framing for commercial construction projects. Install doors, frames, and hardware with precision. Carry out casework installations to meet project specifications. Utilize both wood and metal stud framing techniques. Collaborate with team members to ensure project milestones are met. Essential Skills 2+ years of commercial construction experience. Proficiency in using hand and power tools. Experience with basic framing using either wood or metal. Knowledgeable in finish carpentry and metal stud framing. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to lift 50lbs. Capability to work in various weather conditions. Possession of a valid driver's license with reliable transportation. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a dynamic commercial construction environment, operating in teams of 3-10 people on-site. Standard working hours are from 7am to 4pm, Monday through Friday, with potential variations throughout the season. The dress code includes boots, jeans, and a t-shirt or sweatshirt. Some projects may require travel up to 60 miles from Fort Dodge. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Dodge, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
