Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Trim Finish Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality finish carpentry work, focusing on interior trim, molding, door hanging, and other finishing touches that elevate the aesthetic and functionality of residential projects. Your expertise will help transform raw structures into beautifully finished spaces, ensuring precision and craftsmanship at every step. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse residential projects while honing your carpentry skills in a fast-paced environment. Duties Measure, cut, assemble, and install interior trim, crown molding, baseboards, window casings, and door frames with accuracy and attention to detail Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise execution of finish carpentry tasks Use hand tools and power tools for woodworking safely and efficiently to complete projects on time and to specifications Install cabinetry, doors, drywall finishing, caulking, stucco accents, and flooring as needed to achieve professional results Perform heavy lifting of materials such as wood construction materials, rebar for framing support, or drywall panels while maintaining safety protocols Assist with restoration projects involving plastering, rebar installation, metal stud framing, or concrete forming when required Maintain a clean and organized work area; adhere to all safety standards including power tool safety procedures and proper handling of woodworking machines Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure seamless project flow and quality control Skills Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to interpret construction plans accurately Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical drawings related to residential carpentry projects Extensive experience with hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers; familiarity with power tools for woodworking including drills, sanders, nail guns Practical experience in residential carpentry focusing on trim finish work, cabinet installation, door hanging, flooring installation, tile laying Skilled in working with wood construction materials like framing lumber, plywood, MDF; knowledge of drywall finishing techniques Ability to operate woodworking machines safely and efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards Experience in metal stud framing, plastering techniques for restoration projects, caulking/stucco application for finishing touches Knowledge of construction site safety protocols including power tool safety measures and heavy lifting techniques Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately for precise installation of trim components and fixtures Prior experience working on construction sites with a focus on residential projects; familiarity with restoration industry practices is a plus Join our team as a Trim Finish Carpenter if you're passionate about craftsmanship and eager to contribute your skills toward creating stunning living spaces!
