Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Framing Carpenter and play a vital role in bringing building projects to life! In this energetic position, you will be responsible for constructing the structural framework of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Your expertise in framing, metal building erection, and related carpentry skills will ensure that each project is built to the highest standards of safety and quality. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize a wide range of tools and techniques, and contribute to the creation of durable, safe structures. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute framing and metal building erection. Measure dimensions precisely using tape measures, rulers, and other tools to ensure proper fit and alignment of framing components. Construct wall frames, roof trusses, floor systems, and other structural elements using hand tools and power tools such as saws, drills, and nail guns. Install wood studs, siding, and other finishing materials following specifications for quality and safety. Operate heavy equipment when necessary for site preparation or material handling while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with construction management teams to interpret technical drawings and schematics for efficient project execution. Conduct heavy lifting safely while managing dimensional measurements for accurate framing assembly. Qualifications Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on framing carpentry or related fields such as metal building erection. Skilled in blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans. Proficient with hand tools (hammers, chisels), power tools (saws, drills), and heavy equipment operation when required. Strong knowledge of construction materials including wood framing, metal studs, siding, stucco, and roofing systems. Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments accurately. Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights or in various weather conditions. Valid experience in construction management practices is advantageous but not essential; a collaborative attitude is key! Join us in building something great!
