Job Description

Laborer / Entry-Level Carpenter Job Summary We are seeking a reliable, motivated Laborer / Entry-Level Carpenter to work alongside and assist our Superintendent on luxury residential construction projects. This is primarily a laborer position focused on jobsite cleanup, material handling, site protection, and general support. You will also assist with basic carpentry and miscellaneous pickup work between trades to help keep projects moving. Some construction or carpentry experience is preferred but not required. We are looking for someone who is dependable, takes direction well, and is willing to learn. Primary Responsibilities Work alongside and follow the direction of the project Superintendent. Keep jobsites clean, orderly, and safe throughout the day, including daily cleanup and debris removal. Receive, unload, move, organize, and protect construction materials, tools, and equipment. Install and maintain protection for floors, walls, cabinets, furniture, and other finished surfaces. Help prepare work areas for incoming trades and clean up after work is completed. Perform miscellaneous pickup work between trades, including minor repairs, adjustments, and basic punch-list tasks as directed. Assist with basic carpentry, blocking, demolition, and other construction tasks appropriate to experience and training. Use common hand and power tools safely, with instruction and supervision as needed. Properly care for company tools and report damaged or missing equipment. Follow company safety procedures and applicable jobsite safety requirements. Interact professionally and respectfully with clients, neighbors, subcontractors, vendors, and other team members. Perform other construction-related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Dependable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and ask questions when clarification is needed. Willingness to perform hands-on labor, cleanup, and material handling as the primary responsibilities of the position. Attention to detail and care when working around finished surfaces and clients' property. Ability to work well with others and complete assigned tasks with appropriate supervision. Professional, respectful communication. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between jobsites. No previous construction or carpentry experience required. Preferred Qualifications Some experience in construction, carpentry, remodeling, or general labor. Familiarity with common hand and power tools. Ability to use a tape measure and perform basic construction-related math. Personal tool bags and a basic set of carpenter's hand tools are preferred but not required. Physical and Work Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical work for extended periods. Ability to safely work from ladders and approved scaffolding or staging following appropriate instruction. Comfort working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Willingness to use required personal protective equipment and follow all safety procedures. Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 40.0 per week
