This role is for someone with strong woodworking experience who can handle custom, one-off, and unusual fabrication. The right person will be comfortable working from drawings, dimensions, and concepts, and will have the judgment and skill to determine the best way to build a project accurately and efficiently.
Pay:
$24.00-$30.00 per hour, depending on demonstrated experience and ability
Schedule:
Full-time, Monday-Thursday, four 10-hour shifts
Work Location:
In person — Garden City, Idaho Responsibilities Build custom cabinetry, architectural millwork, mouldings, and specialty wood components Perform detailed bench work and custom fabrication Read and interpret shop drawings, architectural plans, dimensions, and details Measure, lay out, cut, machine, fit, and assemble components accurately Work with solid wood, plywood, veneers, mouldings, hardware, and other woodworking materials Safely operate woodworking machinery, power tools, and hand tools Create jigs, fixtures, or fabrication methods when needed for unusual projects Identify and solve fabrication problems before they reach installation Maintain a high standard of fit, finish, accuracy, and workmanship Assist with other shop production when specialty work is not required Qualifications Professional experience in woodworking, cabinetmaking, millwork, furniture making, or bench carpentry Strong understanding of woodworking methods, joinery, and material behavior Ability to work independently from drawings and dimensions Skilled with common woodworking machinery, power tools, and hand tools Strong problem-solving ability for custom and unusual fabrication High attention to detail and dimensional accuracy Dependable, productive, and able to work effectively as part of a team Able to safely lift and handle cabinetry, lumber, and sheet materials Experience with architectural millwork, custom furniture, solid-wood fabrication, mouldings, or high-end cabinetry is especially valuable. About Jaymark Jaymark Custom Cabinets & Millwork produces high-end custom cabinetry and architectural woodwork for residential projects throughout Idaho and surrounding resort markets. Our work ranges from custom cabinetry to architectural millwork and specialty pieces that require traditional woodworking skills, problem-solving, and attention to detail. We are looking for someone who enjoys the difficult projects — the pieces that require thought, skill, and real woodworking experience.
