Carpenter Laborer

We are hiring a skilled Log & General Carpenter who can handle a range of wood construction projects, including log structures, framing, fencing, and finish work. This is not an entry-level role. You should be able to work independently, solve problems on-site, and produce clean, professional results. Compensation:

$25 - $36 hourly

Responsibilities:

Construct and repair log structures, fences, decks, and wood frameworks Read and execute plans, layouts, and job specifications Measure, cut, and assemble materials with precision Install posts, gates, rails, and structural components Perform concrete work for posts and footings (as needed) Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site Communicate with team members and leadership to keep jobs on track

Qualifications:

3+ years of carpentry or construction experience Experience with log work, framing, or fencing preferred Ability to work independently without constant supervision Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship Reliable, punctual, and consistent Valid driver's license and transportation Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all conditions About Company Sawtooth Wood Products and Equipment has served the Wood River Valley since 1978 with fencing, log products, and small engine sales and service (snowblowers, lawnmowers, chainsaws, etc.).
