Maintenance Technician Hampton Inn Hailey Sun Valley | Hailey, ID | Part-Time The Hampton Inn Hailey Sun Valley is a welcoming, independently owned hotel in the heart of Hailey, Idaho. We're looking for a reliable, skilled, and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is essential to keeping our hotel safe, comfortable, and running smoothly for guests and staff alike. You'll work closely with management and housekeeping, staying ahead of maintenance needs and responding quickly when something requires attention. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their craft, works well independently, and genuinely cares about the experience guests have during their stay. Responsibilities Maintain the physical functionality and safety of the facility including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas Respond to guest and team member maintenance requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC, and general upkeep Conduct routine inspections and perform preventive maintenance to stay ahead of issues before they affect guests Record completed repairs and flag items that require additional attention or outside vendors Collaborate with housekeeping and front desk to coordinate room maintenance with minimal disruption to guests Assist with groundskeeping and exterior upkeep including mowing, edging, weeding, and blowing walkways and common areas Perform seasonal maintenance tasks including snow shoveling, salting, and clearing pathways to ensure safe access for guests and staff year-round Qualifications General handyman or facilities maintenance experience preferred Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and problem-solve on the fly Comfortable with a range of repair and maintenance skills Reliable, dependable, and safety-conscious Good communication skills for working with guests and team members Flexible availability including weekends and holidays Benefits Competitive pay Flexible scheduling Paid vacation, sick time, and holiday pay Hilton Team Member travel discounts at thousands of properties worldwide Employee discounts on hotel stays for friends and family Opportunity to work in a supportive, small-business environment where your contributions make a real difference•This position is employed by an independent franchisee and not directly by Hilton.
