Approximately 25% overnight travel required About Us The Phillips family has been building and developing projects throughout Central Illinois since 1983. Over the years, the company has continued to grow by responding to the needs of the communities it serves, including residential housing, student housing, hospitality venues, assisted living, and memory care communities. We are seeking a Construction Trim Carpenter to join our construction team. This position will support the interior finish work on large-scale multifamily and senior living construction projects. Job Responsibilities Install and trim interior doors Install and trim windows Install baseboards and other interior trim Install laminate countertops Install closet shelving Install finish hardware Follow established construction plans, instructions, and project guidelines Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and quality Communicate effectively with supervisors and other members of the construction team Perform other related finish carpentry duties as needed Qualifications Previous finish carpentry or construction experience preferred Ability to read and follow instructions, measurements, and established guidelines Strong attention to detail and quality Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable and punctual Ability to adapt to changing project needs and priorities Valid driver's license preferred Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly Stand and walk for extended periods, including up to 8-12 hours during a workday Frequently bend, kneel, reach, climb, and work in various positions Use hand and power tools safely and effectively Perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday Travel Requirements Approximately 25% overnight travel is required.
