Traveling Renovation Team Compensation:

$22.15-$32.95 per hour About the position Diamond Property Consulting is seeking an experienced, versatile Carpenter to join our renovation and make-ready team. This is an all-around construction position for a dependable professional who can perform multiple trades and help take an apartment unit from rough construction through final completion. This role is the team's "put-back" carpenter: someone who can walk into a gutted or partially renovated unit, understand what remains, and complete a broad range of installation, repair, and finish work with quality, efficiency, and attention to detail. This is a traveling position, and regular out-of-town and overnight travel is required. Diamond Property Consulting, Inc. is a nationwide general contracting firm specializing in interior renovations and property maintenance for multifamily, senior living, and student housing communities. With a team of more than 150 skilled tradespeople, Diamond has completed more than 6,000 unit renovations in the past 24 months and currently services a portfolio of more than 5,000 units nationwide. Primary responsibilities Perform renovation, make-ready, repair, punch-list, and installation work in apartment units and related property areas Complete rough and light framing; drywall installation and repair; plaster and wall repairs; interior painting and touch-ups Install cabinets, countertops, vanities, baseboard, casing, shoe molding, and other finish trim Install LVP and other common flooring materials, including appropriate preparation and finish details Install, replace, and adjust interior and exterior doors, door hardware, blinds, and window coverings Repair or replace windows and blinds as assigned Install appliances and verify that units are secure, level, and ready for connection or use as applicable Install or replace light fixtures, ceiling fans, switches, outlets, and other basic electrical fixtures within the employee's training and authorized scope Install or replace faucets, sinks, toilets, plumbing fixtures, and related kitchen and bathroom accessories; perform basic rough plumbing work within authorized scope Identify incomplete or deficient work, communicate material and repair needs, and help drive each unit to a clean, finished, move-in-ready condition Protect occupied and finished areas, maintain an orderly jobsite, and clean the work area at the end of each shift or assignment Follow company procedures, manufacturer instructions, project requirements, and all applicable safety practices Coordinate professionally with project leadership, property teams, residents, vendors, and other trades Transport tools and materials to and from job locations safely and efficiently Track labor hours and material usage to support project cost control Document work progress and provide timely updates to site supervisors or project managers Required qualifications Minimum three years of finish carpentry, renovation, or related multifamily construction experience; five years preferred Well-rounded renovation, carpentry, maintenance, or general handyman experience, preferably in multifamily housing, residential remodeling, or make-ready work Demonstrated ability to complete several of the trades and installations listed above without continuous supervision Ability to read a work order or scope, plan the sequence of work, measure accurately, and produce clean, professional finishes Working knowledge of common construction materials, fasteners, adhesives, finishes, and installation methods Ability to safely operate, care for, and maintain common hand tools, power tools, and jobsite equipment, including multi-tools, circular/skill saws, miter saws, and nail guns Strong documentation and organizational skills Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, time management, reliability, and pride in workmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a traveling renovation team in a fast-paced environment Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Ability and willingness to travel frequently to project locations, including overnight and extended out-of-town assignments when required Physical requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, and work in confined or active construction areas for extended periods Ability to lift, carry, position, and install construction materials, fixtures, tools, and appliances safely, with assistance or equipment when appropriate Ability to use ladders and work in environments that may include dust, noise, temperature changes, and exposure to typical renovation materials Ability to use required personal protective equipment and comply with all jobsite safety expectations Benefits Medical, vision, and dental insurance Paid time off (PTO) and sick days Company-provided housing and meals during qualifying travel assignments Diamond Property Consulting is an equal opportunity employer.
