You will serve as the primary field representative for Arkwright Construction, taking full ownership of daily jobsite operations. You will balance hands-on, high-level carpentry with crew and subcontractor leadership across luxury residential builds. This role empowers you to drive project momentum and quality while providing a direct pathway into Senior Lead or Project Management roles. How You Will Make anImpact:
Execute precise rough and finish carpentry including framing, custom trim work, and cabinetry preparation. Supervise daily jobsite operations to uphold strict standards for craftsmanship, safety, and cleanliness. Coordinate subcontractors, trade partners, and field staff to ensure efficient project sequencing. Interpret blueprints, design specifications, and finish schedules to guide flawless field execution. Maintain accurate daily logs, notes, and progress photos within Buildertrend to keep leadership informed. Identify field conflicts and constructability issues early to implement solutions before schedules are impacted. Mentor apprentices and junior carpenters on technical craftsmanship, safety protocols, and company culture.Required Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 7 years of hands-on residential carpentry experience with strong framing and finish skills. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a direct jobsite leadership, supervisory, or site lead role. Comprehensive understanding of all residential remodeling trades, building codes, and construction sequencing. Proven ability to read and accurately interpret complex blueprints, framing plans, and design drawings. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to jobsite locations throughout the Chicago area. Physical capacity to lift 75 lbs and perform continuous physical labor in varying site conditions.Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
Direct experience utilizing Buildertrend or similar construction management software for daily field documentation. Demonstrated success mentoring apprentices and building strong, collaborative jobsite teams. Advanced expertise in custom millwork layout, structural blocking, and specialized architectural details.Compensation & Benefits:
