Skilled Carpenter Pay:
$31.00-$50.00 per hour, based on experience and skill level

ABOUT SHARK THE BUILDER
Shark The Builder is a licensed and insured general contracting company specializing in kitchen and bathroom remodeling, full-scale renovations, structural repairs, and property rehabilitation. We are looking for skilled, dependable, and experienced carpenters to join our growing team. If you take pride in your craftsmanship, understand construction from the ground up, and can work confidently from blueprints, we want to hear from you!
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking experienced carpenters who possess a strong understanding of residential and commercial construction. The ideal candidate should be capable of handling structural, rough, and finish carpentry while maintaining high-quality workmanship, safety, and professionalism.
Responsibilities Include:
Blueprints & Structural Carpentry Read, interpret, and understand architectural drawings, blueprints, and construction plans. Perform rough framing for residential and commercial projects. Frame walls, floors, ceilings, and roof structures. Install, replace, and repair floor joists, rafters, and structural support beams. Perform shoring and temporary structural support. Install and repair subflooring and structural framing systems. Identify structural concerns and communicate issues to the project manager. Execute structural modifications according to approved plans and specifications. Finish Carpentry & Interior Construction Install interior and exterior doors, trim, baseboards, and crown molding. Perform finish carpentry with attention to detail and precision. Install and modify kitchen cabinets. Install vanities, shelving, and other custom millwork. Perform drywall framing and backing as needed. Complete punch-list items and quality-control corrections. Tile & Remodeling Install floor and wall tile in kitchens, bathrooms, and other areas. Prepare surfaces for tile installation, including waterproofing and substrate preparation. Perform kitchen and bathroom renovations. Assist with demolition, remodeling, and full-scale property rehabs. Complete additional carpentry and general construction tasks as required. General Construction Responsibilities Measure, cut, and install materials accurately. Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Work collaboratively with contractors, subcontractors, and project managers. Follow project schedules, building codes, and safety requirements. Deliver quality workmanship while meeting project deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience as a carpenter in residential or commercial construction. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings. Strong knowledge of framing, structural carpentry, and finish carpentry. Experience with rafters, support beams, floor joists, and subflooring. Experience installing kitchen cabinets and tile. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving and measuring skills. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to job sites. Must provide quality workmanship and demonstrate professionalism. OSHA training or relevant construction certifications are a plus.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Pay Range:
$31.00-$50.00 per hour Compensation is based on experience, technical skills, craftsmanship, and ability to perform the responsibilities of the position.
