Carpenter

Our commercial carpentry & decorating company, located in North Aurora, is looking for experienced rough / finish carpenters. We remodel and help build commercial office buildings, hotels, restaurants, schools, and retail buildings. If you have commercial or residential experience, are detail oriented, are a team player and can work well with others, are willing to take instruction, are a problem solver problem... THEN we are the fit you are looking for. At DBI safety is a top priority all employees are required to complete either osha 10 or osha 30 training as well as attend yearly lift training. All employees are given yearly reviews and have the opportunity for performance based advancements.

Responsibilities:

• install structures and fixtures, including molding and windows
• measure, cut and shape wood, plastic and metal
• construct building frameworks, including walls, floors and door frames
• follow blueprints
• interpret client requests and secure approval prior to commencing work
• follow all safety and code requirements Scopes we perfrom: Metal and Wood framing, Set trusses & wall panels, ACT ceilings, Commercial Doors & Hardware, Install Millwork, Install casework, Install siding

Requirements:

• high school education or equivalent
• US citizen or authorization to work in the US
• able to pass a physical

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years in-field experience
• knowledgeable / competent with a variety of hand and power tools
• willingness to work overtime when required
• capable of lifting at least 50 lbs
