We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team.
Job Overview:
The Carpenter may supervise a laborer, ensuring that all projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This role demands leadership, communication skills, and an understanding of construction processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities on a construction jobsite. Ensure all work is completed according to project plans, specifications, and timelines, and complete daily logs. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work. Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all safety regulations. Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on the job site. Communicate effectively with project manager, superintendent, subcontractors, and clients. Mentor less experienced crew members to enhance their skills and performance. Assist with onboarding new crew members by providing guidance in familiarizing themselves in BuilderTrend (job access, clocking in/out, daily logs), fleet vehicles, shop supplies, and day to day tasks.
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations. 6 years of full-time experience in residential construction preferred. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to read and interpret work orders. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Able to lead teams of less experienced crew members to effectively execute the job plan on time and within budget.
