Job Summary The Ragsdale Company is a high-end residential painting, decorating and finishing company with a niche focus on kitchen and bath renovations. We are seeking a skilled and experienced carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry tasks, including installation and construction, with the ability to lead projects and manage a team effectively. This role requires a reliable, detail-oriented individual, who can ensure high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards and project timelines. Responsibilities Oversee and manage carpentry projects from start to finish, ensuring quality and efficiency. Perform door hanging, flooring installation, fixture installation, and siding work as needed. Conduct construction estimating to determine project costs and materials required. Utilize power tools safely and effectively for various carpentry tasks. Apply caulking and other finishing techniques to ensure a polished final product. Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors on-site to facilitate smooth project execution. Train and mentor junior carpenters, providing guidance on techniques and safety practices. Address any mold remediation needs that arise during the course of work. Maintain an organized work environment, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored. Skills Proficient in door hanging, flooring installation, fixture installation, siding, and cabinet/ millwork fabrication. Experienced in the safe operation of power tools and equipment. Familiarity with caulking methods for finishing work. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Detailed knowledge of cabinet hardware. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong leadership abilities with effective communication skills.
