Carpenter/Laborer Keegan's Construction and Remodeling Marengo, IL Job Details Full-time $17 - $25 an hour 3 days ago Benefits Tools provided Qualifications Safety protocol adherence Building construction Construction industry experience Full Job Description Carpenter - Residential Construction & Remodeling Keegan's Construction & Remodeling (KC&R LLC) is a family-owned residential construction and remodeling company based in Marengo, Illinois. We proudly serve homeowners throughout Northern Illinois and are looking for an experienced, dependable carpenter to join our growing team. This is not an entry-level position. Applicants must have previous hands-on experience in residential construction, carpentry, or remodeling and be able to complete assigned work safely, professionally, and with attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Perform residential carpentry and remodeling work Assist with kitchen, bathroom, and basement remodels Complete framing, trim, flooring, and general carpentry tasks Perform demolition, installation, repairs, and finishing work Follow project plans and directions from the job-site supervisor Protect customers' homes and belongings while working Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site Properly use and care for tools, equipment, and materials Communicate promptly about project concerns, mistakes, or material needs Arrive on time, prepared, appropriately dressed, and ready to work Required qualifications: Previous residential carpentry, construction, or remodeling experience Ability to perform carpentry and remodeling tasks with limited supervision Reliable transportation to job sites throughout Northern Illinois Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team Professional and respectful behavior inside customers' homes Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship Ability to safely perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods Willingness to follow all job-site safety procedures Preferred qualifications: Valid driver's license Experience with framing, trim carpentry, flooring, cabinetry, doors, windows, kitchens, bathrooms, or exterior remodeling Familiarity with common construction tools and materials Ability to identify problems and communicate solutions professionally
Compensation:
$17-$25 per hour. Starting pay will be based on demonstrated construction experience, skill level, reliability, and quality of workmanship.
