Job Description
EXPERIENCED CARPENTER / LEAD CARPENTER WANTED
Chicago Area & Western Suburbs $25-$40 PER HOUR |FULL-TIME W-2 POSITION
An established construction company is seeking a reliable, experienced carpenter or lead carpenter for ongoing residential and commercial projects. Paid vacation and select paid holidays are available after the applicable eligibility period. Scope of Work- Residential framing, new homes and room additions
- Residential remodeling, interior trim and millwork
- Commercial steel-stud framing
- Commercial doors, frames and hardware
- Drop ceilings and acoustical ceiling systems Experience in both residential and commercial carpentry is a strong plus. Lead carpenter opportunities are available for qualified candidates who can read plans, lay out work, direct other carpenters and keep projects moving efficiently. Requirements
- Professional carpentry experience
- Ability to communicate effectively in English for jobsite coordination and safety
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
- Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
- Own basic hand tools, cordless drills, saws and miscellaneous carpentry tools
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or with a crew
- Ability to maintain a safe, clean and professional jobsite Compensation and Benefits
- $25-$40 per hour, based on experience, skill level and leadership ability
- Full-time W-2 employee position
- Paid vacation and select paid holidays after eligibility requirements are met
