Position:
Carpenter Summary:
Carpenters at Riverside Construction provide carpentry services and job site assistance to the Project Manager. They perform the carpentry work related to the remodeling/addition projects for Riverside Construction. Carpenters are expected to have the skill to do: demo, framing, trim, installation of doors and windows, drywall repairs, painting, staining, roofing and siding.Additional helpful skills include:
Minor electrical and minor plumbing.Hours:
M-F 8am-4:30pmResponsibilities:
A carpenter is responsible for completing the following tasks and activities:- Perform finish carpentry at the highest level with minimal direct supervision.
- Read and follow blueprints with efficiency.
- Perform rough and finish carpentry to company's standard according to the plans and specifications.
- Lay out stud wall framing and lay out and cut common roof rafters.
- Install such items as pre-hung doors, window units, interior trim, base, casing, crown molding and cabinetry.
- Paint and stain with no drips, sags, spills or slopping.
- Provide assistance and training to any apprentice carpenters as required.
- Maintain a safe and clean job site.
- Maintains a professional appearance; follows the company dress code at all times while on the job site. Represents Riverside Construction on the construction job. Good performance is extremely important to the success of our company. Functions as the "front line" in achieving our company's goal of superior customer satisfaction.
- While representing Riverside Construction acts in accordance to the Riverside company values in all decisions and interactions with clients, vendors, trade partners or the public. The following lists the minimum or desired skills, education and experience required for the role:
- Minimum of 2 years of carpentry experience
- Ability to perform work according to Riverside Construction, LLC quality standards
- Good communication skills
- Reliable vehicle
- Ability to perform physically demanding work on a consistent basis, including lifting 100 pounds
- Indiana driver's license and good driving record
