Description:

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Traveling Foreman Carpenter with a strong background in commercial carpentry or concrete form carpentry to lead crews on projects throughout the region. This role is responsible for supervising field operations, maintaining production schedules, and ensuring work is completed safely and to quality standards. The ideal candidate has previous experience leading crews of 10+ employees on large commercial construction projects and is comfortable traveling for project assignments. Responsibilities Lead, supervise, and coordinate a crew of 10+ carpenters and laborers on commercial construction projects. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to ensure accurate execution of work. Manage daily job site activities, manpower allocation, production goals, and safety compliance. Oversee commercial carpentry and/or concrete formwork activities including layouts, forming systems, framing, installation, and finishing work. Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and other trades to maintain project schedules. Train and mentor crew members while enforcing quality workmanship and company standards. Conduct daily safety meetings and ensure compliance with all site-specific safety requirements. Qualifications 5+ years of commercial carpentry or concrete form carpentry experience. Previous experience as a Foreman, Lead Carpenter, or Crew Leader. Proven experience leading crews of 10 or more employees. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel extensively for project assignments. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Experience Commercial concrete forming systems. Structural concrete projects. Commercial framing and rough carpentry. Multi-story commercial construction. Scheduling and workforce planning. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lebanon, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $34.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
