Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Service Carpenter to join our dynamic team, bringing a passion for craftsmanship and a strong background in construction and restoration. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality service across a variety of projects, including residential remodeling, restoration, and repair work. Your expertise will help ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse tasks that require precision, technical skill, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Duties Interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project requirements. Utilize hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines to cut, shape, and install various wood and metal components. Perform carpentry tasks such as framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, cabinet installation, siding, and metal stud framing. Conduct restoration work including water damage remediation, plastering, stucco application, mold remediation, and rebar installation. Install fixtures such as cabinetry &doors, and other building components with precision. Operate heavy machinery and perform heavy lifting safely on construction sites while adhering to power tool safety protocols. Follow construction plans meticulously while interpreting technical schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate project execution. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety standards related to power tools, scaffolding, scaffolding safety protocols, and general site safety procedures. Qualifications Proven experience in construction, blueprint reading, carpentry (including residential carpentry), framing or remodeling projects. Skilled in using hand tools and power tools for woodworking and general construction tasks; familiarity with woodworking machines is a plus. Knowledge of construction site safety practices related to power tools and heavy lifting; certification in power tool safety is preferred. Strong understanding of wood construction materials such as lumber types, plywoods, siding materials; ability to interpret technical drawings accurately. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during installation or restoration processes. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to adapt quickly on fast-paced job sites; strong communication skills are essential. $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
