$21.00 - $23.00+ per hour, depending on experience Full Job Description K-Construction is seeking a motivated and skilled Construction Carpenter to take charge of project execution and ensure successful building construction. As the key to crew performance, you will work with the team to efficiently complete the post-frame building projects while adhering to safety standards and ensuring customer satisfaction. This position works under the direction of the Foreman and plays a critical role in guiding the team to meet project specifications and deadlines, with a clear path to grow into a Team Lead and Foreman.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Work in the crew, building wood structures, focusing on constructing shells, framing wood members and steel sheeting and trims on the exterior. Assist in setting trusses, raising walls, and completing both interior and exterior work, ensuring high standards are met through your hands-on skills. Follow the direction of the Foreman, executing the construction plan with precision and efficiency. Contribute to the development of less experienced crew members by demonstrating best practices and offering support where needed. Communicate daily progress and any challenges to the Foreman, keeping the project moving smoothly. Read and interpret blueprints and project plans, ensuring the work is completed according to specifications and timelines. Manage and maintain materials, tools, and resources, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently. Ensure safety compliance on the job site by setting an example and adhering to safety practices.
The ideal candidate should possess:
3+ years of experience in construction, with skills in wood framing, sheet metal work, post frames, and exterior building work. Proven leadership abilities to be a good crew member who works well with others. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of safety regulations and ability to enforce safety policies. Strong communication skills and a desire to grow into a leadership role.
