This role is vital in transforming blueprints and technical drawings into sturdy, precise structures that meet project specifications. As a Carpenter/Framer, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining various building frameworks and structures across commercial, residential, and industrial sites. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on every project. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute framing and carpentry tasks. Erect metal buildings, including metal stud framing and metal building components, ensuring structural integrity. Construct formwork for concrete pouring, including rebar installation and concrete finishing to specifications. Perform rough and finish carpentry work such as trim carpentry, drywall installation, stucco application, siding, and roofing. Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and specialized machinery safely and efficiently. Measure dimensions precisely using tape measures and other tools; perform dimensional measurements for framing accuracy. Execute masonry tasks such as laying bricks or blocks when required; assist with restoration or remodeling projects as needed. Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project requirements; adjust plans as necessary for site conditions. Maintain safety standards by adhering to OSHA regulations; perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks regularly. Collaborate with construction management teams to ensure projects stay on schedule and meet quality standards. Experience Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on framing, carpentry, or related trades. Strong background in metal building erection, concrete forming, rebar installation, drywall installation, roofing, and siding. Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately. Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, hammers, chisels; power tools including drills and grinders; heavy equipment operation is a plus. Knowledge of masonry techniques including bricklaying or blockwork; experience with plastering or stucco is advantageous. Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations confidently. Experience working on diverse construction sites with a focus on safety protocols and quality workmanship. Familiarity with construction management practices to coordinate tasks efficiently on-site.
