My Old Kentucky Home Repair is a locally owned and operated general contractor located in Lexington, KY. We provide repair, remodeling, and construction services to homeowners, in addition to commercial repair services in the Bluegrass Region and surrounding areas. We are currently looking for a Carpenter/Handyman to join our team. Day-to-day tasks include, but are not limited to carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, tile, demolition, wood rot repair, door/window repair, basic plumbing, remodeling, building maintenance, landscaping, etc. In addition to completing approved projects, the Carpenter/Handyman will also need to identify and solve problems independently and/or in a team as they arise. Qualifications Finish carpentry experience required Construction/maintenance experience required Carpentry, drywall, painting, and handyman experience required Experience with remodels required Experience working with clients required Regularly lifts more than 50 lbs in a wide variety of settings Able to navigate tight spaces (attics, crawl spaces, etc.) Valid driver's license, vehicle, and insurance High school diploma or GED required Trade certificate/education, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree required (can be in an unrelated field) Ideal candidate will have finish carpentry skills and excellent communication skills. Operating hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm, with occasional nights and weekends. Overtime can be available. Pay range is $20-35/hr with growth opportunities.
