MITCON is seeking an experienced Skilled Carpenter to join our team. We are a small general contractor based in Lexington, KY specializing in the historic restoration of residential and commercial buildings. We work in Lexington and surrounding counties. We value craftsmanship, dependability, attention to detail, and employees who take pride in their work. This is not an entry-level position . Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of professional, hands-on carpentry experience . Responsibilities Perform general carpentry, repairs, remodeling, and restoration work Framing and structural carpentry Interior and exterior trim and finish carpentry Installation and repair of doors, windows, siding, and other building components Measure, cut, fit, and install materials accurately Safely operate hand and power tools Complete work according to project specifications and our quality standards Work independently when necessary and as part of a crew Maintain a clean and safe jobsite Qualifications Minimum 3 years of professional carpentry experience required Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials Experience with both rough and finish carpentry preferred Remodeling or historic restoration experience is a plus Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship Dependable and able to report to work consistently and on time Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Able to perform the physical requirements of construction work, including lifting, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and working on your feet throughout the day What We Offer Full-time, year-round work Competitive pay based on experience and skill level Health insurance Retirement benefits Earned PTO Opportunity to develop specialized historic restoration skills Applicants without at least 3 years of professional carpentry experience will not be considered.
