Job Description

Lead Carpenter Aloise Builders (www.aloisebuilders.com) a small, high-quality general contracting company specializing in mid- to large-scale residential renovations, additions, and custom homes. We have been around for 20 years and are known for detailed craftsmanship, safe and clean sites, and strong collaboration with architects and designers. Our projects typically run 6-12 months, and we maintain a steady, manageable project flow. We are looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter who can run a jobsite with confidence. You will work hands-on and on-site directing laborers, coordinating subs, maintaining schedules, and translating design intent into field-ready execution. The ideal candidate is a senior carpenter who wants responsibility without corporate bureaucracy, takes pride in craftsmanship, can properly sequence work, and communicates clearly with the project team. Responsibilities Lead day-to-day site operations Coordinate subcontractors and maintain the critical path Manage site safety, cleanliness, and material deliveries Perform carpentry tasks: framing, windows/doors, insulation details, siding, interior trim, cabinetry, and specialty finishes Understand and implement architectural drawings, specifications, and high-performance building details Communicate clearly and respectfully with homeowners, architects, designers, and subcontractors Track labor and materials Assist with job sequencing and planning Qualifications 8-15+ years of carpentry experience (finish + frame) Lead carpenter or small-business owner experience Ability to direct others and manage sites independently Ability to read detailed plans and problem-solve in the field Positive communicator — respectful, dependable, team-oriented Understanding of high-performance building OR interest in learning Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Spanish or Portuguese language skills a plus Compensation & Benefits $30-$50/hr depending on experience 6 paid holidays, 3-5 PTO days, 2 weeks paid vacation Training opportunities available 401(k) retirement plan available after eligibility period Healthcare available Year-round, 40-hour/week schedule with predictable hours (occasional overtime paid at time-and-a-half) Company vehicle (van) may be provided for work-related use
Pay:
$30.00 - $50.00 per hour
