Job Description

The Lead Carpenter is responsible for the day-to-day execution and management of residential remodeling projects while serving as the primary, hands-on carpenter on the job site, performing high-level carpentry across all phases of construction, from rough framing and structural work through detailed finish carpentry. This role combines three primary responsibilities:
Carpentry:
Perform and lead carpentry work throughout the project, including rough framing, structural modifications, doors and windows, cabinetry, trim, finish carpentry, and problem solving related to the existing conditions commonly encountered when renovating older homes.
Job Site Management:
Coordinate subcontractors, schedules, deliveries, inspections, and daily site activities to keep the project organized and moving forward.
Client Communication:
Serve as the primary on-site representative of The Curtice Group, communicating with homeowners, answering questions, providing project updates, and helping ensure a positive experience throughout construction. The Lead Carpenter works closely with our project coordinator and office team while taking ownership of the daily operation, quality, organization, and progress of their assigned project.
