(Eastern Shore of Maryland) Full Time Carpenters/Craftsman - Needed for immediate hire
CARPENTER
(Eastern Shore Maryland) Full Time Carpenter/Craftsmen- Needed for immediate hire 5 Day work week We are seeking experienced Carpenters/Craftsmen to join our team. We are in need of highly skilled carpenters/craftsmen to assist with both our design/build and handyman projects. The ideal candidates are well organized and take great pride in their work. They possess a strong work ethic and communication abilities, as well as a keen eye for detail. They have his/her own transportation and tools and are willing to travel within the Eastern Shore. They are skilled craftsmen and possess a solid working knowledge of wood properties, carpentry principles and materials. We are looking for candidates who are creative, can read and interpret building plans, and are capable of working independently. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Review work orders, prints and/or sketches for the project Estimate material requirements and tools or equipment needed to perform job Install building materials as required Set-up, demo and install kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, wall finishes, interior and exterior trim, siding, windows, doors, and home repairs Perform construction labor work on residential and commercial structures, both interior and exterior Drywall installation, repair and finishing Unload materials and store efficiently Be exceptionally organized and professional Maintain a clean, safe job site. Perform other related duties as required.
Job Requirements Include:
High School Diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) Certificate. Completion of formal trade school or apprenticeship programs is a plus! Must own reliable transportation Background check approval Must own their own tools Ability to read blueprints and follow direction Ability to create and verify material take offs is a plus!
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Must have knowledge of acceptable construction site practice Must have the ability to communicate with clients in a professional manner Must have the ability to follow directions. Must be able to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to complete each task assignment. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to be on time Keep a tidy personal appearance, and a clean and safe job site Painting, masonry, tile skills, plumbing and electrical are a plus!
