Carpenter - All Skill Levels Coastal Maine General Contracting - Mount Desert Island, Maine Full-Time | $25.00-$35.00/hr based on experience About Us & The Role Coastal Maine General Contracting is a design-build construction company focused on quality work, clear communication, and a strong team culture. We're looking for Carpenters to join our growing field team. We're open to a range of skill levels, from developing carpenters looking to continue building their experience to highly skilled carpenters who can work independently and take ownership of their work. What We're Looking For Our Carpenters work across different phases of residential and light commercial construction, from framing through finish. We're looking for people with hands-on carpentry experience who are ready to work as part of a crew and continue developing their skills. Depending on your experience, this may include: Framing and general rough carpentry Finish carpentry and trim work Installing windows, doors, siding, and other building materials Reading plans, taking measurements, and laying out work Measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing materials Working alongside the field team to keep projects moving Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe jobsite Taking pride in your work and the quality of the finished product You should be dependable, communicate well, have your own basic set of carpentry tools for day-to-day work, and be willing to learn and continue developing your skills. Experience with framing, finish carpentry, blueprint reading, layout, or independently completing carpentry work will be considered when determining your starting rate.
