A Carpenter builds and repairs wood frameworks or structures for houses and buildings, or builds and installs wood cabinets, furniture or other fixtures. May specialize in residential, commercial or industrial carpentry.
Fridays may be mandatory based on production needs We are seeking an experienced Fence Builder / Carpenter to join our manufacturing team in Pittsfield, Maine. This is a hands-on position for someone with carpentry, woodworking, construction, or fence-building experience who takes pride in producing quality finished products. Responsibilities Build and assemble fences, gates, and other outdoor structures according to specifications. Measure, mark, cut, and assemble wood and other materials accurately. Read and follow blueprints, drawings, measurements, work orders, and production instructions. Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment. Perform carpentry tasks including cutting, drilling, fastening, fitting, and assembly. Perform other manufacturing and carpentry-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous carpentry, woodworking or fence-building experience required. Experience using hand and power tools. Ability to accurately measure and read a tape measure. Ability to read and follow drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and work for extended periods. Frequent bending, reaching, lifting 50 lbs., pushing, pulling, and repetitive movements. Apply today! Pay Details:
